What Customers Say About Philips HL145 Stereo Headphones with Durable Headband:

But for me they are convenient, have great sound quality, and for the price I can afford to replace when they do break. I did try the headphones once, only to put them back in their package. I first started with the Coby CVE92 Isolation Stereo Earphones and haven't looked back. -Cheap-Decent sound quality-Fit in my ears and stay-Above average durability for ear budsEar buds don't last forever. This is a decent quality headphone set. I purchased this along with 2 other types of earphones, looking for something that has good sound quality. I'm saving them for if a friend needs them. The ear buds however have a few good qualities.

It is December, and they are still in good condition and work perfectly. Here is my review: I bought these headphones this May for my 5 year old. The sound on these headphones is fine, not great, not terrible, just fine, but the durability is amazing. This will not be a technical review. Then again, if you cared about technical specs in audio equipment, then you would not be looking at these headphones, anyway. In that time, I have gone through 3 or 4 pairs of somewhat expensive earbuds.

To me the bass can be felt in the ear if the volume is right and the right material is playing, but I wonder how deep that actually is.100hz.80hz. The midbass, midrange, and lower treble were all prominent above the extreme highs and lows. The Rachmaninov sounded good as the orchestral playing of the Symphonic Dances sometimes demonstrated the bass and midrange seperately. I am probably exaggerating a little to make a point. I didn't test their power handling either. One classical CD with Rachmaninov Symphonic Dances with Svetlanov on a Russian Label and INX's Shabooh Shoobah. I also have Sony 100's (for mini headphones).

The specs on these headphones say 18hz is the lower limit I wonder if that isn't the lower limit period and not the usual -3dB measurement. I can't imagine these reproducing sound below that without trailing off significantly. The imaging is fine and probably better than most full size units. Lastly these aren't very sensitive and will probably eat up your batteries or test the small amplifier in whatever miniature device you plug them into. Only in track 9 did the bass demonstrate itself only because it wasn't "clouded" by the other frequencies. Don't let me make you think that these are anywhere near as good as those more expensive headphones. So it is possible that it takes a lot to drive them and once YOU get them to the level you want they COULD distort.

Michael Hutchence the lead singer sounded a bit boxed and not as natural.

I listened to two recordings with these headphones.

The treble was there also don't get me wrong.

But then again these are mini headphones for less than $15.00.

I'll try to update it with use.

This is my early review.

These Philips Headphones are the only other pair that I own.

The INXS sounded worse.

These are no Sony 7506's mind you, but maybe imaging as good as Sennheiser's HD 280's without a deep of a bass or overall flat of a response.

Hurray for PhilipsPlease do not ever take these out of production Current phones have lasted almost 9 months.I am hoping there was a prod mod to improve the termination. I have tinnitus and cannot use earbuds, which if you turn the wrong way.get imbedded in your ear canal.Downside.this activity eventually will destroy the cabling at the connection to the headset. I have been using the current set for 1 1/4 and they are still going strong. I have been using these headphones for the past 8 years as I have a tendency to fall asleep listing to my mp3.currently a Zune. These are the flattest most comfortable headphones for this purpose.much more reasonable than specialty items.I also toss and turn and like the fact that they disengage on their own.wrap arounds would not work for me. PS: They did fix it.

sound is kind of quiet. very weak, doesnt cancel out any noice. but you get what you pay for.
